G&G Retro Rock Star Turbo Aviator Sunglasses G&G Retro Rock Star Turbo Aviator Sunglasses

Reviews

I thought the style was cool but these glasses didn't fit my head. Maybe because I have a big head (7 1/2 around). I could not give this product anything higher because i bought a product I can't use.

These shades are HUGE... I bought them thinking that I could rock them all the time but the are just too big for my face. Buyers beware, you need to be ready for a super huge set of shades.

For those of you looking for that classic Retro Rocker look...these are perfect. HUGE shades...they will give you some pretty extreme coverage of your eyes and face in general. The gradient on the lenses is pretty nice, but for some reason the black pair I ordered had a purplish tint rather than the straight gray that I would have imagined. They're comfortable on the nose, but pretty heavy. I'll probably never wear them in public, but I'm not saying I regret buying them. One minor detail you'll probably notice when you get them out of the box is the strong plastic-ky smell that just blows off these things. Even after more than a month of being in a dingy drawer, these things still smelled like a GI Joe who got a little too close to a lamp. No Biggie, though. If you're looking for big, gaudy glasses...these are for you. Comfortable, nice gradient on the lenses, and that retro feel you're looking for. Oh, nice little carrying case too.

This is a amazing product... The only thing is that the rosary chain that came with it started to fade the first day I wore it... I had to buy another chain from Amazon to replace the one that came with it... it's a head turner though... and the Pendant is nice....

The Blueprint 3 [Explicit] The Blueprint 3 [Explicit]

Reviews

The King of East Coast Rap does it again as he puts together another incredibly solid album. Chock-full of high profile guest appearances, The Blueprint 3 has a little something for everybody. Kanye West produces seven of the tracks and while his ability as an MC can usually be hit or miss, he shows that he is still one of the top producers in the genre (regardless of his personal penchant for interruption). Young Jeezy's track "Real As It Gets" appeals to the hardcore fans and is one of my favorite tracks on the album. Rihanna and Alicia Keys bring their R&B style and both contribute solid tracks, with Rihanna backing up Jay-Z and Kanye on the self-power anthem of "Run This Town". Alicia Keys sings the chorus on "Empire State of Mind", Jay-Z's love song to New York City which is one of the best tracks on the album. Kid Cudi rounds out the guests by garnering the backpacker/underground crowd on "Already Home". The only weakness of this album is in fact the strength of the guests, as Jay-Z is actually outshined at moments. Though it lacks the vision of some of his earlier releases, The Blueprint 3 shows that he still deserves the respect as a Godfather of rap.

Jay-Z The Blueprint 3 Well Jay-Z was back with the blue print 3 and lets just say that it did not live up to the first blueprint at all. This time around coming off his last album American Gangster which was not a commercial album at all it seemed like Jay-Z wanted to go commercial for this album. The production for this album is very good not on Dr Dre level but its up there but when it comes to lyrics Jay-Z does not stand out on this album like he has other times in his career. In fact there are so many features on this CD which is common in rap today that most of the guest hosts outshine Jay-Z on this CD. Rakown's CD came out the same day as jay-z and while everyone knows Jay-Z would outsell him by 10 X the amount Rakown's album was one of the best quality rap albums of 2009. It was almost like Jay-Z felt his last CD sales were not a good reflection and he felt he had to go back to a commercial album to get more airplay and it did work. Overall this is a mixed bag at the end of the day I am going to go in the middle with 3 stars and a recommendation to download it before you go out and buy it.

CD is awesome, and purchasing and receiving item was extremely efficient and easy. Thansk Amazon!

This is my first Jay- Z cd and I am happy. It makes me want to buy the rest of his cds. Every song is perfect. My favorite: On to the next one, haters, home. Other rappers (except Kanye) need to beware.

You know, the first time it happened, it was actually kind of funny. "Jay-Z" drops new album. Ha, ha, funny ... but I bet you the real Jay-Z is pi$$ed. Couldn't happen again. End of story. Not even close. This is the third time it's happened, and now "Jay-Z" has the audacity to name his "album" after Hova's signature two-fer! The new guy is sounding more and more like he's imitating Eminem instead. I think there's even a country song. I suggest he just change his name to Eminem and let random women punch him in the face. I know he's been busy hanging out with Kofi Anan and visiting catastrophe sites overseas, but don't you think Jay-Z would have heard about what's going on by now, more than six years after he retired? Can't people just let the man live out his twilight years in peace?

The Blueprint The Blueprint

Reviews

I'm still just poking and prodding with rap, and I decided a good next step would be what might be the most acclaimed hip hop album of the last decade. It was released way back on 9/11, the same day when the towers fell. I don't know what it means that one of New York's most prominent rappers released possibly his best album on the same day of the city's worst tragedy, but there's definitely something interesting about it. Unlike using the events of that day to make political points though, The Blueprint still feels relevant nine years later. It helped lead a shift back towards using samples in rap beats, as Jay-Z and the various producers on the album (including Kanye West before he launched his own career) took a lot of 70s R&B and soul, and even a bit of The Doors, and made it sound new, with pretty much every track having its own sound yet a consistent feel with a heavy dose of bass. Some of the vocal samples are pitch-changed, and they're all used to add depth to the sound, and the album never sounds boring. I think Jay-Z is a talented lyricist and a pretty good rapper, but the star of the record for me is definitely the music. I still remember a couple of the album's singles from back when they were playing on MTV, though they're honestly among my least favorite songs. They're not bad, and "Girls, Girls, Girls" redeems itself a bit with the second part crammed onto the end of the twelve minute final track, but most of the other songs just seem to have more heart and more interesting moments. The content of the album is heavily autobiographical as would probably be expected, and also a bit defensive, as he was getting some backlash at the time for being presumptuous about his place in the scene, although he's still very confident in his own greatness. To be honest though, I think the single best verse on the album belongs to Eminem, who collaborates on the track "Renegade" which is apparently a remake of one they did earlier. It's overall an extremely good song, with a beat that's unique to the album and some extraordinary lyrics from both rappers. "Takeover" is another one that sounds a bit different from the rest, and features some pretty brutal disses including two bars at the end that pretty brilliantly wave aside just about everyone. There's plenty of other good songs on the album, and there's not really a point in naming them because it's just such a consistently high quality achievement.

Great CDSi love the package together. it was actually a gift for my husband, he hasn't stopped listening to them

i love these two cds. i already had them but bought them again. blueprint one and two were like the best cds.

This is a review for the Blueprint Collector's Edition! I give it 5 stars even if Blueprint 2 is not a 5 star record. With this collection you get Blueprint 1 and Blueprint two in a nice box with room to put Blueprint 3. The differences? Well Blueprint 1 comes in a regular case, not the blue case it originally came with and the insert is printed on different paper. That is dissapointing, but Blueprint 2 comes in a better case than the original - you get it in a larger Double CD case that is much sturdier and cooler than the original. Overall I recommend it if you need these two CDs.

Jay-Z is the best rapper dead, alive, ever and this cd is the best cd ever made in the hip hop world. I still listen to in and it's 8 years old. This is a must have cd CLASSIC!!!!

The Black Album The Black Album

Reviews

I say itz Jay's best album. The song selcetion is very good and I can listen to the album all day long. It has a grown and sexy feel along with a personal side of him, and a hardcore vibe to the album. Top 5 songs Change Clothes, Allure, Public Service Announcement, December 4th, and Encore.

I have to admit when I first heard this album I was blown away. I still have my same copy with the black disc. I will say that this album is a more commercial version of Reasonable Doubt. Even though it has a more commercial feel to it, its still an excellent album. This was slated to be Jay-Z's last album so I guess he wanted to go out with a bang and The Black Album does just that. It's similar to Reasonable Doubt in that he has some very personal songs on it like December 4th (great song) and Lucifer (a personal favorite of mine). However, it still shows Jay-Z's evolution as a more mainstream rap artist. This could be good or bad depending on what type of hip hop fan you are. Personally, I don't really care for commercial rap artists but I make an exception for Jay-Z. I really didn't know what to expect when I got this album because by the time it came out, Jay-Z had drifted so far from his original sound. It's also similar to Reasonable Doubt in that it is consistent. I didn't need to skip any tracks. I had pretty much resigned myself to the fact that Reasonable Doubt was going to be his only "great" album. The rest were hit and miss with a few nice tracks here and there but not classic material. Another good album by Jay-Z was the Blueprint but The Black Album surpasses that one. Yes I said it, The Black Album is better than The Blueprint. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Blueprint too but if you're really honest with yourself you will agree with me. If not we just have to agree to disagree. Either way, The Black Album is the commercial counterpart to the classic Reasonable Doubt and it's worth owning. In my opinion, he should have ended it with this album. The only thee albums necessary to own by Jay-Z are this one, Blueprint and his best album, Reasonable Doubt. The rest were just so so. All in all, The Black Album is not quite a 5 star album (a la Illmatic, Reasonable Doubt and Ready To Die) but it definitely shouldn't get any less than 4 stars. Peace.

I'm not reviewing this album because I never heard it. I do know that I loathe this rapper and all the tadpoles that follow him. If this moron has so much money, then why do I see Bono in Africa helping black people? Why do I see Brad Pitt helping black people in New Orleans? Does Jay-Z like black people? What do you think is more important to Jay-Z, helping poor starving oppressed black people in the world or buying a new Aston Martin? Don't bother answering. We all know the answer. One day black america will wake up....one day.

I don't want to sound like a hater i mean i am giving the album 5 stars but I used to use this album to go to sleep, maybe thats why when i put this in my car I get really drowzy and actually almost fall asleep. You get producers like kanye west who does 2 tracks, the neptunes who also does 2 tracks, timbaland, eminem, dj quick, and some others like rick rubin who did surprise in the production of 99 problems. the album is good, features no one except for pharrel in "change clothes". he should have maybe done a track with beyonce or kanye west or someone else. 1. Interlude N/R 2. December 4th 3/5 kinda corny but not bad 3. What More Can I Say 5/5 hot track. "Im not a biter im a writer, i say a BIG verse im only binging up my brother im big enough to do it." 4. Encore 5/5 another hot track exepct for the long pause in the middle of the track where a guy is urging people to scream HOVA well the song is "ENCORE" but after replaying it.... it gets anoying maybe they should have saved it for the end. 5. Change Clothes 4/5 i don't know why he would choose this song as his 3rd single when there are better choises. 6. Dirt Off Your Shoulder 5/5 2nd single in the album. timbaland gives him a beat that is just bananas. 7. Threat 4/5 funny small skit in the beginnig but dope. 8. Moment Of Clarity 4/5 ahh the eminem produced track good song overall. hot hook going over his albums. 9. 99 Problems 5/5 good single tells a small story in the second verse. 10. Interlude 4/5 hot lil freestyle 11. Justify My Thug 4/5 not bad but not great 12. Lucifer 3/5 really anoying hook imo. 13. Allure 4/5 by this time im usually asleep. so can't talk much about it. 14. My 1st Song 5/5 ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz............. awwwhhhh.... lol just kidding. what i can tell you is the alot of rappers hav sampled jay-Z from this album and have created hits. 1 Cassidy- "Im a Hustla" (sampled from the 3rd verse in "Dirt Off Your Shoulder") 2 T.I.- "Bring Em' Out" (sampled from the 1st verse in "What More Can I Say") 3. Juvenile- "Way I Be Leaning" (This guy choped and screwed jay's voice for the song so it would sound more southern but I know tthe rhyme is from the second verse of "Dirt of your shoulder") Im sure there is more but i can't remember now. aight 1.

At first I wasn't feeling this CD so much but after 4-5 spins I realized this was a really nice album. IMO it's behind Blueprint, Vol. 1, and Vol. 2 for the best Jay-z albums. Alot of people don't agree with me on Vol. 1 but it was a great CD(besides "I Know What Girls Want" & "Sunshine") It was before he went materialistic and commercial.

Average Rating:

If The Black Album is truly Jay-Z's last statement before retirement, he at least goes out near the top of his game. While it probably won't be remembered as his best album, The Black Album is his most personal to date and features some of his most compelling writing...

PS3 DJ Hero Renegade Edition Featuring Jay-Z and Eminem PS3 DJ Hero Renegade Edition Featuring Jay-Z and Eminem

Reviews

This item was purchased for my son and daughter and they love it. They just can't seem to get enough of playing it. They most definitely would recommend this game to anyone who wants to be a dj and who loves music.

Ok, first of all, this was a Christmas present for my son. He is having a wonderful time with it. I was concerned at first that he would soon grow tired of it, but my concern was allayed when I found out that he can download new songs (Song mixes?) from the web. Also, he is able to play the game on the web with others. There was one problem. The first unit we received was defective. At first, the turntable would only work part of the time, then it stopped working altogether. However, the manufacturer, Activision, was very prompt at sending a replacement. In fact, I think they must have sent the replacement the same day that they received our defective unit. So I have no complaints with them. Could I recommend it? I don't know. I don't play those things myself! However, as I indicated above, my son is quite happy with the game so I guess I could recommend it.

Bought this unit for x-mas and thought it would be great for the teen age kids in our family. The overwhelmed excitement that we saw on x-mas day went away about two days after. The DJ Hero games is overly complicated when scribbling and scratching on the turn table and matching colored keys. This game is overly complicated compared to real DJ-ing. This game and unit was a good idea but noting compared to the real thing. If your going to buy a simulated games unit stick to guitar hero it's been the most accurate music simulator on every platform.

I like this more than I thought. First let me say Renegade is worth the extra money. The case is wonderful, storage and a stand. Iam 6 feet tall, the stand fits me, and my 12 year old son (who is naturally shorter). The deck controller itself is cool looking. Shinny black like the PS3. You also get a cd of Jay-Z and Eminem songs. I think they could have picked better Eminem songs. Gameplay is fun. It is a challenge. You dont get to just sit their and push "taps" You have to work the "record" and the other buttons and knobs. Sometimes I break a sweat during a set. But that's what I like about it, hello! Your a DJ rocking a party in this game. I also have rock band. My only complaint about rock band, is the music, I didn't like a lot of the songs on those games. This game is the other way around. NOT JUST HIP HOP, R&B, and some rock still. That's what I like. BBD, Cameo, and still have Queen, just to show you the variety. In closing to recap. If you get DJ Hero, I would say get Renegade for the case/stand, great storage. The game play is great, it will work/challenge you. If you like hip hop,r&b, and a little rock this soundtrack is for you. The only con in my opinion: Is your hands getting tired. But I think that comes with the territory.

I'm 41 years old and went to high school during the 1980s when scratching and mixing was in its infancy. This game is the hottest game out there for those of us looking for an interactive experience and great music. It allows you to live out your fantasy of being the D.J. at your very own basement house party. I've been waiting for this game ever since I heard it was being developed, and it hasn't disappointed me yet. This edition is great too, because it comes with the case and an extra CD with select cuts from Jay-Z and Eminem. If you have teenage kids into this genre of music, or you want to re-live the days of old school, house party, basment, re-mix cassette tapes GET THIS GAME! Then step your game up, and get online to battle other DJs around the world (it's great stress relief after a days work and navigating D.C. metro traffic).

Along with his financial and musical success, Jay-Z is known for being involved in the feud between him and fellow New York rapper Nas, which was eventually settled in 2005. He is also known for his relationship with Beyoncé Knowles, whom he married on April 4, 2008. MTV named him number one on their list of the greatest MCs of all time.
