Michael Jackson

Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009), known as the "King of Pop", was an American musician and one of the most commercially successful entertainers of all time. His unique contributions to music and dance, along with a highly publicized personal life, made him a prominent figure in popular culture for four decades.
He started a solo career in 1971, having made his debut in 1964 as a member of The Jackson 5. His 1982 album Thriller remains the best-selling album of all time, with four others—Off the Wall (1979), Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991), and HIStory (1995)—among the best selling. He popularized several intricate dance moves, such as the robot and the moonwalk. He is widely credited with having transformed the music video from a promotional tool into an art form, with videos for his songs "Billie Jean", "Beat It" and "Thriller" making him the first African American artist to amass a strong crossover following on MTV.

Michael Jackson - CD COVERS - King of Pop - Wall Poster - 24x36 inchesReviewsThis is one of the best posters I have come across! I can't wait until I get a frame for it. High quality paper crystal clear images, simply beautiful. I wanted something that would capture everything Michael brought to the music industry and to his fans. This poster sums it up. It's large and features Michael discography as solo artist, starting with Off the Wall. I haven't framed it yet but am sure it will look stunning when hang it next to my framed MJ magazine covers. This poster collects all the best Michael Jackson albums on one HUGE cover! With the clear images, it serves as one amazing and obvious reminder of Michael's legacy. It looks beautiful framed and on the wall! Wow! And for the FANTASTIC PRICE - it is BEYOND worth it! Most posters only feature one image of the artist, however this poster collects several! There is something on this poster for every-one of Michael's fans! The perfect way to make any room or office a THRILLER! AMAZING! Average Rating:![]() |

Michael Jackson Thriller 24x36 PosterReviewsI bought this right after MJ died because I used to have the thriller album sleeve similar to this tacked to my wall when I was in kindergarten...and I couldn't find it anywhere locally. While the price is great the shipping and handling are what cost the most. You can actually find this at every wal-mart across the country now. Only difference..the wal-mart version has the "in memory" garbage on it. I really don't care for the in memory of type stuff...thus...I purchased it here=) Great size. Looks great. Bigger version of the thriller album sleeve. How does one review a poster anyways? I guess I just did. I like this poster and its pretty big in size its just what i wanted if your thinking of buying it i would buy it if i were you its worth the money that and the size of it is pretty big. Michael Jackson: This Is ItReviewsWhat a great glimpse into the life of a man no one knew but everyone talked about. He was an extraordinary person and it is shown plain as day here by his friends and associates. RIP, MJ. I really enjoyed this DVD. I didn't get a chance to see it when it was on the big screen and that's why I purchased it. I especially liked the added features. One was about the costumes that had been made for him to wear. That really brought it home for me. My husband wasn't going to watch it but got sucked in and enjoyed it just as much,if not more, than I did! He really enjoyed the music. I found it interesting that they had all of the footage that they did. Well, I'm giving it 5 stars because I am such a fan. This is actually a video about the making of the concert that did not happen. It does let you in on some of the pressures and the intense detail work involved in staging such efforts. It is not a video of a concert, and you should not expect to see a concert presented. This was yet another great purchase through Amazon. The item received was as advertised, and arrived in a timely fashion. I am a huge Michael Jackson fan, so his death has had quite an effect on me. It is as if a my childhood was officially buried with him. I was torn about going to see This Is It in the theatre. I felt as if it was too soon and all about money, not quite the tribute Michael deserved. After all with all the tours Michael Jackson went on he never released a substantial amount of behind the scenes footage. I think he always liked to keep the illusion alive. Anyway I gave in to my own curiousity and I must say I was mixed with emotion. It was fascinating to see how much of a perfectionist he was and what dedication went into his perfomances. At the same time it saddened me that this really was it. I would never have the priviledge again, to see him in his element, on stage. I hold onto those great memories I have of seeing him on the Bad Tour and with the Jackson Five in the seventies. This is It, is a must have for everyone that has been touched by Michael Jackson's music. Even if you are not familiar with him, or were not fortunate enough to see him live, this is a dvd you should add to your collection. Average Rating:![]() |

Michael Jackson - Video Greatest Hits - HIStoryReviewsWHO'S BAD!!! WHO'S THE KING OF POP AND WHO TOOK OVER THE WORLD WHEN HE WAS 10 YEAH!!! MY TRUE HEART FOREVER MICHAEL. This is one of Michael's greatest I loved it from beginning to end. I keep watching it over and over. I purchased this item for my sons who have become avid Michael Jackson fans. I could not have been more dissappointed in the quality of the DVD. The sound is horrible! This was the worse than a fake copy. It honestly sounds like AM radio. Very dissappointed. We LOVED this DVD. Kinda sad to see MJ'S beautiful smile & know that there is no more MJ. xo I think that this is the best video for a detailed history lesson of how MTV/VH1 was started. Richard Simmons Sweatin' to the Oldies [VHS]ReviewsEven though this is so outdated, the music is fun to dance to, and it doesn't feel like exercise. A blast from the past but a good way to work up a sweat to some oldies This video is fantastic! I am as lazy as lazy comes. I've been out of shape for a few years now so when I first started this video it seemed hard after the warm up. But the 2nd time it got easier, and so on and so on. After a week I have the routine down pat! This video is FUN! It makes you WANT to pop it in the dvd player and get your butt movin & groovin!!!! I highly recommend this to everyone. I have been dancing to the oldies since I got this. I truly love it! the product came as expected in terms of condition and delivery. Average Rating:![]() |

Richard Simmons is the king of motivational exercise, especially if you're a beginner. This video workout is a dance party simulating a class reunion, with an energizing live band playing lively hits from the '50s and '60s, such as "It's My Party and I'll Cry If I Want To," "Great Balls of Fire," and "Dancing in the Streets... |

Moonwalker [VHS]ReviewsI've loved Michael ever since I was seven. This movie was the first glimpse that I seen with him and he was great. It opens up with him performing "Man In the Mirror", then it shows snippets of him singing as a child. It then shows Michael's "Leave Me Alone" video. It includes a mini movie of Michael and three children; Michael and the little girl who plays Katie stumble upon a druglord, while looking for their dog Skipper, who runs into the woods after they all are shown playing in the park. The druglord (Frankie Lideo) goes on a manhunt to kill Michael, along with his army of "robotic machines". Michael gets away after running into a dead-in by wishing upon a "lucky star" and being transformed into this extremely fast, futuristic car. He goes to Club 30's and his video "Smooth Criminal" is shown. After it ends, Michael is told by the two boys that Katie was taken by Frankie, so Michael goes to rescue her. At first it seems as if Michael will be defeated, but of course, good trumps evil, so in the end Michael overcomes Frankie's army by turning into a "robotic machine" himself (much cooler version than Frankie's army) and destroys them. Michael and Frankie have a final showdown and Frankie loses (no surprise there). Michael leaves and the children are sad to see him go. Katie takes it the hardest and wishes upon a star for him to come back and Michael suddenly walks through the fogged streets. After, the reunion they walk to Club 30's where Michael closes with his version of "Come Together" (I love it). As a child, I saw him as somewhat magical, because that's exactly how he potrayed himself. He was an excellent singer and entertainer. Though, he's no longer with us he will live on through his music and his children. I love you Michael! R.I.P. I was so excited when I found my movie at the price it was and couldn't wait for it to arrive. I was very impressed when it arrive in my mailbox 3 days ahead of schedule. I couldn't be happier with the outcome of my order!!!! I bought this NTSC/Region 1 DVD from the secondary seller. It arrived on the earliest of the promised delivery dates, and it ran perfectly in my DVD player. So from a buyer's standpoint, I give it an A! As for the content, I can't offer much more than other fans have said. In fact, I can't say enough! Michael looks so joyful and earnest in these pieces; you just want to eat him up! I especially liked his pseudo-live (well, I guess it's really live, but given for a preset audience) rendition of the Lennon-McCartney classic "Come Together." His treatment is suitably funky! For comparison, go on the Web and find one of the Beatles' live performances. John and Sir Paul would have no complaints, I think. Anyway, this Moonwalker DVD is a great buy, and I recommend it highly. :-} Enjoy!!! THIS IS A HARD MOVIE TO FIND. I PAID 17$, NO S&H, AND IT CAME THE NEXT DAY AFTER I OREDERED IT! THE INFO SAID IT WAS A ASIAN VERSION AND IT WAS IN ENGLISH! BUY IT! YOU WON'T BE SORRY. I have had the original VHS since I was BABY practically, and continue to watch it every often, even way BEFORE Michael passed. When I thought they would take advantage after he passed by releasing "past" movies and such, I assumed this would of been first, and too my surprise it wasn't even mentioned. I would like to believe this dvd is a "bootleg" but it seems to genuine and it has the appropriate details from the "Warner Bro's Studios", LOGOS, FBI Warning, the works, so its obviously legit. What I don't get is why the record company would release a "Michael Jackson" dvd in another country rather than his own, this DVD doesn't exist here in the U.S., unless its a bootleg. I am not complaining at all about the situation, I bought the last dvd "new" from this page for only $18.96, thats all...they will probably release and sell it for more in the U.S. soon, I hope, with extra footage of some sort. Even though there is a few Korean writings on the DVD BOX, its ALL in ENGLISH, and works PERFECTLY FINE with my REGION 1 DVD player. I noticed some buyers from another page "accidently" bought REGION 2, which doesn't work for the U.S. and U.K. So be very careful which "REGION" you buy, THIS VERSION was perfect and played crystal clear for me on my MAC and Home DVD player. GOOD LUCK TO ALL SEARCHING FOR THIS GREAT RARE ITEM!!! Average Rating:![]() |

Folks [VHS]ReviewsThis has been one of my all time favorite movies. I loaned out my copy and never got it back. Thanks to amazon I now have another copy and at an affordable rate. Thank you amazon.com I LOVE THIS MOVIE. I HAVE WATCHED IT OVER AND OVER. I HAVE NEVER LAUGHED SO MUCH IN MY LIFE AT A MOVIE. IF YOU NEED A GOOD PICK ME UP AFTER A VERY TRYING DAY THIS THE MOVIE TO WATCH. NOW THAT IT IS NO LONGER IN PRINT I HOPE MY VHS NEVER HAS A PROBLEM. I HAVE LOANED THIS TO FRIENDS WHO ALSO THOUGHT THIS WAS A VERY GOOD COMEDY. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE. this is a excellent video we never get tired of watching it and we received it so fast great work This is a hilarious movie, it literally takes you places you didn't think you'd ever go - it is that good. Tom Selleck is even more handsome (if that is possible) without the famous 'tache, I cannot believe how good that man looks even with all the added on medical scaffolding in the movie. One part that had me doubled up was the part in the ambulance where Tom (already well banged up and bruised from various other scrapes) is making sure he has all of his toes, fingers, ears, eyes, & well, you'll just have to watch the movie ... it's a scene that you know he has to get round to counting those particular parts of his anatomy and when he does it's so-o- funny. Don Ameche is classic as always and so are the rest of this well observed cast, it is really good to enjoy the laughs, spills, humour and mayhem caused by the old parents, the bitchy sister and bratty children. See it please, you must if you value your sense of humour, it is a classic. Should be a comedy classic! One of the funniest movies ever produced out of Hollywood, and a comment on our society and families in America. Tom Selleck is great, and Don Ameche is a Hollywood icon. Average Rating:![]() |

Twice inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, his other achievements feature multiple Guinness World Records—including the "Most Successful Entertainer of All Time" — 13 Grammy Awards, 17 number one singles (including the four as a member of the Jackson 5), and estimated sales between 350 million and 750 million records worldwide. He was also a notable philanthropist and humanitarian who donated and raised millions of dollars through support of 39 charities and his own Heal the World Foundation.
Jackson's personal life generated controversy for years. His changing appearance was noticed from the late 1970s and early 1980s, with changes to the shape of his nose and to the color of his skin drawing media publicity. He was accused in 1993 of child sexual abuse, although no charges were brought. He married twice, first in 1994 and again in 1996, and brought up three children, one born to a surrogate mother. In 2005, he was tried and acquitted of child molestation allegations. While preparing for the This Is It concert tour in 2009, Jackson died at the age of 50 after suffering from cardiac arrest. He reportedly had been administered drugs such as propofol and lorazepam, and his death was ruled a homicide by the Los Angeles County coroner. His memorial service was broadcast live around the world, attracting a global audience of up to one billion people
