I Look to YouReviewsthis will ne whit's last album she'll relapse and will soon join michael jackson in junkie heaven. Plus 14 (Fourteen) #1 Billboard Singles! and 14 Top 10 Billboard Singles! GOLD & PLATINUM Albums...Holds the title for the most awards received by a Female Artist!...I think it's safe to say WHITNEY HOUSTON HAS COVERED SOME GROUND!!! This new album is just another added feather in her cap. Yes!, It sports a somewhat 'New' sound, but it's still ALL WHITNEY. Enjoyable from start to finish! Not a bad song to be found, but like several other reviews and critics have said...If you're lookin' for the old sound of Whitney Houston, you won't find it on this new album, but if you're lookin' for the Whitney Houston of today you'll be very pleased! Radio is playing no less than 4 (Four) to 5 (Five) cuts from one of the Most-Welcomed-Return albums of 2009! I still have not received the item or a refund. I am a bit disappointed. I have always been a fan of Whitney Houstons and was excited when she came out with a new album. Normally when you purchase a cd their may be a couple songs you don't like, this instance i've enjoyed each one. All I can say is "Welcome Back" this fan missed your music There isn't a thing wrong with Whitney's voice, she's still got the range (listen to portions of "I Look To You") and the power. But, she's gotten lazy and, apparently, is after the quick score with this bubblegum. She's extremely nasal and several of the songs sound like she's channeling Michael Jackson, the beat is even the same. Whitney's a balladeer, she should stick to what she's good at and quit prostituting her talent to this kind of crap. This album is terrible. I won't buy any more "new" Whitney. Average Rating:![]() |

The Ultimate CollectionReviewsGreat to hear her music again before the brown influence...shoulda...woulda been the best female voice since Barbara...great mix of her best... If you are a Whitney Houston fan, you will absolutely love this CD. It is a collection of her best and most famous music. Excellent buy and a great price. Wish everyone would stop the Diva nonsence. Whitney in her day was a talented singer with a strong voice. This is a good representation of the good Whitney, and worthy of many listens. Todays Whitney is a has been. A product of her own destructive behavior. So, buy this disc, then shake your head and say goodbye to what was, a talented gal. Her voice today sux, due to her drug use. Serves her right. Very good greatest hits cd. Only flaw is it is missing the hit "You Give Good Love" does not make sense why they would leave this off. Other then that it a nice collection. AWESOME!! All my favorites on one CD! I couldn't ask for anything more. I love Whitney in her glory days; I play this everyday! Average Rating:![]() |

2007 UK single-disc collection from the R&B and Pop vocalist, one of the biggest, and best-selling, female artists of all time. She's broken countless records throughout her career, has had consistent success in music and in film, since her debut single "Saving All My Love For You" in 1985... |

The Bodyguard: Original Soundtrack AlbumReviewsThe six songs with which Whitney Houston kicks off in this soundtrack, brings her gospel roots front and center on the half dozen tracks which feature her soaring vocals, which leaves the competition gasping at her immaculate vocal skill and ability to personalize songs. This CD is artistically satisfying and uncharacteristically hip. Thanks and God Bless y'all and your families, friends, etc... for this much appreciated product for our family. I have enjoyed the music from this movie for years. The CD is very nice. Whitney's music gives me a chance to stretch my vocal cords. Also this music is powerful but does not bounce my nerves. I liked this movie well enough to view it numerous times, and found something new or different each time. There are those who do not like one or more of the actors, so have never viewed this movie. Too bad. Great movie, and really good acting. Yes, there are some 'cheesy' moments, but they are few are far between. I highly recommend this movie to everyone. I couldn't tell any difference between the appearance or sound quality of this cd and others I have bought brand new. Excellent Quality! Average Rating:![]() |

At the time of its release, this was the watershed for soundtracks, selling a kazillion copies. It documents Whitney Houston's character in the Kevin Costner movie, which required Houston to play only herself (although one hopes she wouldn't end up with someone as smarmy as Costner)... |

Cinderella (The Wonderful World of Disney) [VHS]Reviewsgot it for my girlfriend for valetines day because she loved it when she was little. All the songs sound the SAME! The acting is horrible. CONFUSING! I watched this with my 3 and 4 year old, but could not get them to stay in their seats. I am not opposed to black and white actors, but REALLY the ethnic diversity was confusing at best. The queen, Whoopi Goldberg, and the King, a white man. Their son, I am pretty sure was Asian. The step mother, white; the daughters (one white and one black). Cinderella, Brandy, black. I don't understand why they could not show the acceptance of different racial groups in a manner that made genetic sense. I am pretty sure their was not one actor/ actress that knew how to act in a musical. Even the singing was NOT suited to the voices of the singers. I recommend this to absolutely NO ONE! My daughter and I are a big fan of musicals. We have truly enjoyed singing along to the wonderful songs in this multi-ethnic rendition. I love this movie...I remember for my high school drama class we had to recreate this musical and I played the fairy godmother. This movie is great for kids and adults who grew up knowing and watching Disney. Cinderella is a classic and will always be regarded as one of the most enchanting fairy tale stories. My daughters love the 70s version with Stuart Daemon and Lesley Ann Warren. I bought this as a backup when I was unable to find that version for sale. Brandi and Whitney have awesome voices ( of course) but the whole thing is played too kitchsy. Some characters just dont work in this version. But if you are looking for the R& H music and are sick of the Disney version, this is a good alternative. Average Rating:![]() |

A prince, a pumpkin, a glass slipper ... history's most enduring fairy tale returns with a thoroughly modern twist! Beautifully produced and featuring an all-star cast, RODGERS & HAMMERSTEIN'S CINDERELLA shimmers to life in the most spectacular production ever of the classic musical -- including three additional Rodgers & Hammerstein songs exclusive to this special Disney presentation! Pop sensation Brandy (TV's MOESHA) stars as the beautiful Cinderella, who suffers the torment of her wicked stepmother (Bernadette Peters) and spoiled stepsisters... |

The Bodyguard [VHS]ReviewsReceived exactly as I ordered. Came much quicker than I thought it would, due to the holidays. This movie is a nice, little relic of the 90s. Kevin Costner gives a stunning performance. Whitney is also great. The music is great. Onscreen, the chemistry between the two is tangible. Great 90s throwback. Arrived within a couple of days and was in great condition. The movie is entertaining any time you watch it. The cast is brilliant.I believe will stand in time next to Casablanca. love you whitney :) this movie was great. there was great acting. loved every minute. Average Rating:![]() |

Welcome Home Heroes with Whitney Houston Live in ConcertReviewsBuy the Video, I messed mine up playing it so much. I like the old Whitney, in this video she showed off her real skills. She sang(yes I said sang) a song called, A SONG FOR YOU, she will bring tears to your eyes. All the things that you are looking for are on the VHS tape. I recently bought the DVD version of the Welcome Home Heroes. I was not happy with my purchase. It has the concert, but left some of the highlighs of the concert, like the National Anthem in the begining as well as highlights of Whitney visiting the troops on the ship and the troops that were injured,it also showed her serving the troops dinner. It was wonderful to see. I am curious whether this VHS version has all the extras that were missing from the DVD. I originally recorded the concert when it aired on HBO. If anyone have purchased this VHS please let me know if it has some of the things that I have described. I would like to know before I attempt to purchase another one. Average Rating:![]() |

Houston released her debut album Whitney Houston in 1985, which became the best-selling debut album by a female artist. Her second studio album Whitney (1987) became the first album by a female artist to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Houston's crossover appeal on the popular music charts as well as her prominence on MTV enabled several African-American women to follow in her success.
Following her marriage to fellow singer Bobby Brown, Houston appeared in her first starring role in the feature film The Bodyguard in 1992. The film's original soundtrack won the 1994 Grammy Award for Album of the Year, and became the world's best-selling soundtrack. Its lead single, "I Will Always Love You", became one of the best-selling singles in music history. Houston continued to star in feature films and contributed to soundtracks including Waiting to Exhale (1995) and The Preacher's Wife (1996). After the release of her fourth studio album My Love Is Your Love (1998), she renewed her recording contract with Arista Records in 2001 for a historic $100 million dollars. She subsequently released her fifth studio album, Just Whitney the following year. Amidst widespread media coverage of personal and professional turmoil, Houston's marriage to Brown ended in 2006.
Houston is one of the world's best-selling music artists, having sold over 140 million albums and 50 million singles, worldwide. She is ranked as the fourth best-selling female artist in the United States by the Recording Industry Association of America, with 54 million certified albums.[9] Known as "The Voice" for her "powerful, penetrating pop-gospel" vocals, she has been listed by Rolling Stone magazine as one of The 100 Greatest Singers of All Time
