LeapFrog Didj Handheld Custom Gaming System - PinkReviewsMy 6 year old plays this everyday for hours on end! Works with everything she is doing in school! Has all her spelling words and math problems programed in! I bought this for my 7 year old granddaughter for Christmas and she has thoroughly enjoyed it. Already learned a few multiplication problems, etc. from using it on a long trip she and her family took to Florida after Christmas. Despite the nonsensical reviews about price below, which aren't even accurate, this is a great item for the price. Much cheaper than a DS! And a great platform for kids, especially girls, to get some educational value out of the gaming environment. We've only tried a few of the titles so far, but it has held her interest and helped her learn more! Much better than pure mind candy. My 6 year old is learning to multiply and divide and has learned about fractions from Spongebob, Indiana Jones, and StarWars. He can't put this game system down. We homeschool and this is great for his after schoolwork time. He can't seem to put it down. We are buying stock in energizer, though. Batteries last about 10hrs of play time. There is a car charger and ac/dc plug available for about $10 each. We will invest in them soon. We are very pleased with this product and all games purchased so far. We have about 6 of them. Our homeschool is actually a farmschool because we are always in the fields. So, our didj gets dusty, dropped, dragged from home to the truck to the tractor, etc... and is still going strong. We've had for a couple of months now. No complaints! Please don't let these bad sellers rip you off. You can get this toy at "wallyworld" for half the price and they have plenty. There is no shortage. Average Rating:![]() |

Kidz Bop 17ReviewsMy kids love several songs in this album. They will listen to them at home and on the road. Other thoughts: We'd like to see the video version of this album. The bottom line: My 5 year old loves it and yours will too! Ignore the rant from the previous review. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, however, giving a product 1 star because you think artists have sold out - this is the wrong forum for voicing your opinions of the music industry, and should be reserved for a review of the product itself, not of your failed career. Personally for me, I think Fireflies is the reason not to buy this CD, however, it's one of my kid's favorite songs. I LOVE the Kidz Bop releases. I can't even listen to the radio with or without my son because of the very offensive lyrics or comments by the radio personalities. Therefore, I choose to buy Kidz Bop so we can enjoy the songs we really like but in a cleaner version. Kidz Bop may not be for everyone but this parent loves them. And my 10 year old loves it too. He's an innocent child with child-like desires of wanting to be Spiderman to help fight crime and put bad guys in jail. I love his innocence. If your child is like mine, he or she will enjoy this clean cd. I even took my son to their concert and we had a GREAT time. Note: While you may have heard the things said below a million times, I was particularly irked by this release of Kidz Bop and decided to voice my opinion of the album here. Take it or leave it, I felt it needed to be said. And don't worry, I have listened to the whole album and I display my opinions on the album & the series as a whole below. Don't hate me for hating, hate me if you think I'm wrong. Now, while I still question the market for these increasingly popular HACK albums, it seems that the kids of America, raised on the the non-comedic fare of Hannah Montana and whatever Nick Jonas is putting out there nowadays, seems to like this Kidz Bop. Therefore, since their kids like it, the parents buy it. Kidz Bop is essentially a glorified cover group that specializes in taking songs from Top 40 radio stations, and have them sung by kids, with maybe a little adult help on the chorus or verses. The songs are not only covered by children, but their lyrics are changed to the most non-offensive, PC word choices imaginable. So, essentially to make these clearly non-kid-friendly songs kid-friendly, the album essentially makes all these little changes to the songs to essentially strip all creativity and art in the original song. These songs aren't only painful for anybody over the age of 5, but they're insulting and offensive on the basis of principles. It's not simply kid's music; it's a spitting upon the face of creative genius, and the artist that more often than not, poured their soul into it. But it's more than spitting on the face of creative genius, it's stealing that creativity, running away with it, claiming it as your own, and taking the ensuing mountain of cash that rolls in. It's this very principle that musical artists preached for years. Most famously of these artists was Nirvana and Kurt Cobain. Kurt essentially started the anti-corporate movement that continues with much of alternative rock, and most of Indie music today. Essentially, Kurt knew that the corporate system inherently wanted to use him and his band to make more money. By selling out, he would be forced to participate in superficial institutions he didn't want to participate in, and endorse products he wanted no part of. But worst of all, the music's message would be cluttered with all these other influences. If this happened, this would be considered "selling out." Or essentially selling your soul for the almighty dollar. Ladies and gentlemen, Kidz Bop traffics in artists that have "sold out." Think about it, Kidz Bop is the product of everything that people like Kurt feared. But hey, fame is so rare, do you really want the chance to get your name out there, even though it's being sung by a bunch of 6-year olds? Kings of Leon recently said in an interview, that they wish they were less successful because they feel the corporate system grabbing a hold of them. Guess what, with this new release from Kidz Bop, Kings of Leon has been officially grabbed a hold of. Owl City's Fireflies is my song of the year. It's a song that few people had heard of 6 months before, then rose of the charts to become the #1 song in America, despite the fact that Owl City's only driving force was word of mouth. But, what made the song good was its sense of magic and creative brilliance all created by Adam Young. But when Nick Jonas covers it, and everybody in his audience sings along as he butchers through the song with his so called "singing voice," as if it was his song. He didn't write it, Nick Jonas is only riding on the coat-tails of something he will never be able to achieve. Now that doesn't mean covers are bad. It's entirely possible to add something new and different to Fireflies while still respecting the original work. Remember, it's not about the fame, it's about the artistry of it. Nick Jonas certainly doesn't have it, and when Kidz Bop covers it for their album, they certainly don't have anything other in their minds but fame and money. Essentially, there is a middle ground where too few artists live in. It's the land where you have enough fans to support you to make a living off of, but not enough where the corporate system wants to turn your song into something it's not. But if you do become successful, protect your work at all costs, or whatever made it great will be ripped to shreds before your realize your career is over after your sophomore effort fails after failed profit-expectations. Personally, as soon as sign a contract with a label, I at least have the final word on who can officially use my song. If it's used in a proper manner on a TV show, or if it's respectfully covered, then it's fine. If not, then the work is being damaged. And under no circumstances would I allow Kidz Bop or any other group like it within fifty yards of my work. That's where all the songs & artists on a Kidz Bop album has failed, and I hope they all learn a valuable lesson from it on fame, fortune, and protecting the magic. Average Rating:![]() |

Call Me IrresponsibleReviewsThis is a wonderful CD for everyone who loves classics and a few new tunes from Michael. My grandson and his bride chose "Everything" to dance their first dance at their wedding. Buble is so very good--Reminds me a lot of Frank Sinatra--Buble is just the perfect crooner. I like this one, very nice...what's funny is that I got this one last I already have "It's Time" Love It!..."Crazy Love" witch is his latest and may I say IT'S AMAZING! LOVE IT!...Call Me Irresponsible has some really good songs on it...I really like "LOST"..."EVERYTHING".."THAT'S LIFE"..THE BEST IS YET TO COME...ALWAYS ON MY MIND...AND CALL ME Irresponsible...Haha! That's almost the the entire album!, But I like the other three albums even better, Oh yeah I have his first one too "Michael Buble" Great!...So my thoughts are, You should buy this album because you'd be missing out!!! excellent. very nice and easy to listen to. I love Michael Buble's smooth voice and vocal style. He has a great voice. While the ratio of fast to slow songs was heavy on the slow, I did enjoy listening to this. Average Rating:![]() |

It's no coincidence that Michael Bublé's new album starts with just his voice and some fingersnaps on "The Best Is Yet to Come," a song made famous by Frank Sinatra. The Canadian smoothie looks longingly towards early-'60s Vegas, an impression quickly reinforced when a boisterous horn section makes its grand entrance, about 20 seconds into the track... |

New Kids On The Block: Coming HomeReviewsI've been a huge nkotb fan since 1988, and this is what I was waiting for. I love the "live" performances, and how they talked about how the whole reunion got started. It is a very valuable article of the New Kids On The Block, who adapts to the European multizona and who has come to me to Spain in the space of estimated time, thank you very much. Granted Ground Control could have been better and fast at getting this to me but I loved it. Even my husband enjoyed it. I thank the guys for doing this, it was exactly something us block heads or as we call our self BH's needed. Can't wait for the new shows this year and its great to be able to look back at the last two years and remember how much fun we had with the guys and how much fun they had with us. This is something I will always treasure because this time around I am old enough to remember it clearly. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU I have attended two concerts from this tour and it is nice to have some of these live performances on DVD. But I was hoping for more behind the scenes, more of a documentary style video and in that sense - this just was not what it could have been. I am a long time and dedicated fan with high expectations that were not met. Their concerts are amazing, but this DVD is not. "Coming Home" is an enjoyable documentary about the welcome return of NKOTB. The guys take turns talking about what it was like to get back together 14 years after their much-too-early disbandment in 1994. In between interviews, rehearsal footage, and other various behind-the-scenes video, we are treated to some live performances from their past 2 years of touring. The disc clocks in at about 85 minutes and the live performances have major replay value. Their stages of the past 2 years have been nothing short of spectacular with huge bursts of colorful lights, flashy big screeen graphics, and eye-pleasing fx. Add to that the vocal talents of the boys from Boston and a large assortment of unforgettable tunes and you have a winning ticket. It would have been nice to see the music videos for "Summertime," "Single," and "Dirty Dancing" added to this collection, as their music-videos were always included in their past home video releases. I would also have liked to see more live performances such as their most amazing ballad "If You Go Away" as well as some others. Hopefully a full-concert DVD will be available at some point. And by the way, a live rendition of "Since You Walked Into My Life" is LONG Overdue! Add that to the next touring roster! This disc is a must-have for all the long time fans and will hopefully just be the beginning of more to come. They've always been Far superior to the follow up acts like "Backstreet Boys" and "Nsync," and it's about time that the NKOTB have finally come home to the studio and the stage, where they belong. Hopefully this time they're here to stay. Average Rating:![]() |

Hangin' Tough [VHS]ReviewsThis video is great, and I wish that the New Kids had made a video for their first album. Step by Step shows the guys live and backstage, and they are really cute! I can still remember watching this video so long ago. This is when it all started. These guys are very talented and should be remembered always!! This tape really should be re-released. I Love NKOTB sooo much it's not even funny. Who cares if they are older , they beat any of the guy bands out today. The movie gets you right up close and personal with them and I'm sure you'll enjoy watching their dance moves, and hearing their voices talk about life. I wish they were still together, and you can imagine they are with this video. I want to say Hi to my NKOTB Buds: Anna, Melissa, and Lindsay! Buy it you'll love it! I think this video is great because it brings back so manny old memorie. With Jordan and Joey lastest hits out this year this video shold be re-released so purchase will be avalible. Step By Step [VHS]ReviewsThe condition of the video was excellent. It was shipped and received in a very timely manner. I was just in kindergarten when the New Kids were big, now here I am of legal drinking age and I still pop in this video every once and awhile! It's funny to watch and still entertaining 16 years later. Brings back lots of memories! Osmosis Jones [VHS]ReviewsThis animated movie has some of the funniest lines in it. It is a about a man named Frank (Bill Murray) who gets an infected toe and a deadly virus (Lawrence Fishburn) tries to kill Frank. His body is Frank City. William Shatner plays the corrupt mayor of Frank City. Niles from Fraiser plays the medicine capsule and Chris Rock is the white blood cell cop. It is absolutely hilarious and everyone should have this movie in their collection. Great movie! Kids of all ages would love it. It is not anatomically correct. So what? It was fun to watch and funny. I thought the person who told me to go see it was playing a practical joke on me. And I was right. If this was a 30-second promo after an after school special, it would be barely tolerable. As a full-length feature film? For sure, this is what's on constant loop on the flat screens in Hell. This Live-Action/Animated Adventure Follows Frank, A Slob Who One Day Eats An Egg That's Been Caught In A Chimp's Mouth and Landed on The Ground. Inside His Body, A Virus Named Thrax is On The Loose in His Body. Now It's Up To The Help of A White Blood Cell Cop Named Osmosis Jones and A Cold Pill Named Drix To Stop Trax From Killing Frank Within 48 Hours. OSMOSIS JONES is Probly One of The Absolute Best Animated Films Ever Made. Though The Trailers Advertise A Family Film, It's Definatly NOT A Family Film, and I'm Kind of Shocked It Wasn't Rated PG-13. The Live-Action Cast Aren't As Good As What The ANIMATED VOICE Cast Brings To The Film, But Still Bring The Carecters To Life. The LIVE-ACTION Cast Includes Bill Murray (From GROUNDHOG DAY) as Frank, Molly Shannon (Who Later Did EVAN ALMIGHTY) as Shan's (Frank's Daurghter) Teacher, and Chris Elliot (From THE MASK) as Bob, Frank's Best Friend. The ANIMATED VOICE Cast Is One of The Best Voice-Over Cast Ever and They Really Bring The Carecters To Life. They Include Chris Rock (Who Later Did MADAGASCAR) as Osmosis Jones, David Hyde Pierce (From BUG'S LIFE) as Drix, William Shatner (Who Later Did OVER THE HEDGE) as The Mayor, and The Best Out of Them All, Lauance Fishburne (From MATRIX) as The Virus Thrax. The Animation is A Combination of 2D and CGI and It's Absolutly Realistic. OSMOSIS JONES is A Must-See Film For Older Kids and Adults of All Ages. Also Recommended Ghostbusters Shrek Bill Nye the Science Guy: Human Body. SPIECIAL FEATURES INCLUDE: -Commentary By Animation Directors PIET KROON and TOM SITO, Writer MARC HYMAN, and Producer ZAK PENN. -Frank's Gross Anatomy -HBO First Look -Voice Recording Sessions -Deleted Scenes The Commentary For OSMOSIS JONES is Another Great Commentary and It's Really worth Spending 95 Minutes Listining To Pepole Who Made The Film. Frank's Gross Anatomy is An Interactive Adventure That Make You Relive ''Gross'' Moments in The Film. The HBO First look is Another Great Making-of That's Worth Watching For 15 Minutes. The Voice Recordings Are Great As Well. The Deleted Scenes Are NOT, and For Once It Makes Sense Why Thay Were Deleted, Mainly It Wasn't That Good, Accturally Only One of Them Was Good. Overall Ratings: Movie-5/5 DVD-4.5/5 A great combination of animation and live action. Good lesson for school age children on importance of good health habits. Average Rating:![]() |

After the stiff attempts at realism in many recent features, it's a treat to see broad cartoon-style animation on the big screen in Osmosis Jones, a spoof of cop movies set inside the human body. The title character (voice by Chris Rock) is a street-smart white blood cell, working for Frank's immune system... |
Robert James Ritchie (born January 17, 1971), known by his stage name Kid Rock, is an American rapper and singer-songwriter with five Grammy Award nominations. Kid Rock is known for his eccentric personality and his music that fuses rap with heavy metal, blues rock, southern rock, funk and country music.
Kid Rock released several studio albums that mostly went unnoticed before his 1998 record Devil Without a Cause, released with Atlantic Records, sold 11 million albums behind the hits, "Bawitdaba","Cowboy," and "Only God Knows Why". In 2000, he released The History of Rock which was a compilation of remixed and remastered versions of songs from his previous albums as well as the single, "American Bad Ass". In 2001, he released the follow up, Cocky. After a slow start, his country-flavored hit "Picture" with Sheryl Crow resurrected the album and it went gold as a single and pushed the album's sales to more than 5 million. It was followed by 2003's self-titled release, which failed to chart a major hit. In 2006 he released Live Trucker , which was a greatest hits live album. In 2008, Kid Rock released Rock N Roll Jesus, which produced a hit in "All Summer Long". It was his first worldwide smash hit, charting #1 in eight countries across Europe and Australia. Rock N Roll Jesus would go on to sell 5 million albums worldwide including being certified double platinum in the US.
